From staff complacency to outperfoming targets

Claudia's story... When we met, Claudia was a new business owner and feeling quite overwhelmed by the responsibility of it all. At times it got the better of her, leaving her feeling very much out of her depth and frustrated.  I have now been coaching Claudia for nearly a year, and part of my coaching has involved teaching leadership skills and empowering Claudia to take back the control of her business from her employees.

Claudia told me about the situation which had occurred in her business, where her employees had become complacent in their jobs, not working together or pulling their own weight and at times even having a negative attitude with Claudia and the customers.

As we worked through this together, Claudia became aware that as the business owner it is her responsibility to run her business and that her actions have a direct impact on its success. Our sessions empowered Claudia with techniques to manage her staff and take back control of the situation.

Claudia implemented the actions required and as a result her team have all pulled together and actually outperformed expectations in achieving daily targets and tasks set. They are all working together as a team to ensure the business is continuing to deliver to their customers the highest level of service possible so they walk away 'raving about their experience and referring new business'.

When it comes to staffing concerns, the sooner the situation is turned around the faster the changes can be seen. In this particular case, Claudia’s takings almost doubled in the space of a week as a result of the changes in her employees.
